Aron Scott, RICP®, has been an integral part of the Wiskus Group since 2014, where he dedicates his expertise to helping clients achieve their financial goals through comprehensive financial planning and thoughtful investment strategies. A graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Aron is passionate about guiding individuals and families toward a secure and confident financial future.
Aron’s purpose in every client conversation is simple but powerful: to bring peace of mind and clarity to the financial planning process. He understands the intricate details of a plan — from investments and cash flow to distribution strategies and tax considerations — and believes it is essential that clients not only have a solid plan, but truly understand it. Many of the questions clients bring are deeply personal and foundational: Can I retire? Will I have enough? Is this a good investment? Will my family be okay? Aron sees it as his responsibility to answer those questions with both technical expertise and genuine care.
Clients value Aron’s ability to take complex financial concepts and explain them in a clear, relatable way. His goal after every meeting is that clients leave feeling empowered, encouraged, excited, and confident about their future. He believes trust is built on caring, competency, consistency, confidence, and wisdom. When clients feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or are facing major life decisions, Aron intentionally slows the process down to ensure he fully understands their concerns and recommends thoughtful, appropriate solutions.
Aron collaborates closely with Mark to deliver an exceptional client experience. While Mark focuses on the high-level strategic vision of the plan, Aron thrives in the details — designing, refining, and implementing strategies that align with each client’s goals. Together, they go beyond surface-level planning. They take time to uncover the deeper “why” behind a client’s goals and proactively identify potential obstacles before they arise. Every meeting is a meaningful conversation focused on understanding a client’s feelings, priorities, and long-term desires.
What motivates Aron extends beyond the technical side of finance. He has a strong desire to use his knowledge, gifts, and talents to serve others and help them pursue their dreams. He entered the profession after encouragement from a friend in the industry who recognized his natural ability to connect with people and problem-solve. Since then, Aron has embraced the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of the families he serves.
Aron’s values were shaped early in life. Growing up on a farm instilled in him the importance of hard work, responsibility, and caring for people and the things entrusted to him. Wrestling was also a defining part of his upbringing, teaching him discipline, perseverance, and resilience — lessons that continue to influence both his professional and personal life.
Deeply committed to his community, Aron serves as President of the Oskaloosa Indian Activities Booster Club, as an Elder at Grace Lutheran Church, and as a Youth Group Leader. His leadership reflects his heart for investing in the next generation and strengthening the community he calls home.
Above all, Aron’s family is the defining role of his life. He believes one of his greatest callings is to be a devoted husband and father, knowing that how he lives and leads at home has a profound impact on those around him. He and his wife, Danielle, live in Oskaloosa with their four children, where they enjoy a strong family bond and active involvement in their community. When he’s not in the office or cheering on his favorite wrestlers, Aron enjoys spending time with family and friends, continually learning, and working with his hands — whether playing sports and games, chopping wood, or building something from the ground up. His traditions, hobbies, and daily routines are intentionally structured to help him grow mentally, physically, and spiritually — all so he can better serve the people who rely on him most.
